Sabah says Turkish Defense Industry turnover and exports skyrocketed thanks to armored vehicles at international standards, coast guard boats, station ships, and air defense systems. The paper says Defense Industry Undersecretariat, which is currently working on 334 projects, has made 49 billion TL investment within 2013. The volume of the sector reached 5 billion Dollars says the daily.
Akşam says Ford Otosan will manufacture its new Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier models in Gölcük and export to world markets. The paper says the two models offer the lowest fuel consumption in their class and the highest safety and comfort options.
Vatan says debit card and credit card usage in Turkey has increased very fast in recent years, and in total number of credit cards Turkey is a contender for the lead in Europe. England comes first in Europe with 151,6 million bdebit cards and 56,4 million credit cards. Turkey comes second with 145,6 million debit cards and 54,3 million credit cards.
Yeni Şafak says there has been a huge interest in the education fair of Yunus Emre Pristina Turkish Culture Center and Turkey Graduates Association of Prizren in Kosovo. The paper says students seeking higher education abroad have had a chance to contact Turkish universities directly. The students also had a chance to learn about scholarships, accomodation, academic staff and application conditions of universities in Turkey.
Yeni Şafak says one of the leading medical product companies of the world Covidien has opened an Innovation Center in Turkey. The facility of the company will provide training for the countries in the region. 5 thousand medical workers will be trained in the facility annually.
HaberTurk says Fenerbahçe football club celebrated their 19th championship with a grand ceremony in Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium, which was full of happy fans.
